Matt Moynihan
I'm Matt Moynihan, a marketing communications professional with more than 16 years of experience as a brand steward and corporate communicator.
Matt Moynihan has more than 16 years of experience in marketing communications as a trusted steward of corporate brands and political campaigns. He is a well-respected strategist in hand-crafted message development. He has also been a freelance political editorial columnist, using his rhetorical devices to persuade and inspire large audiences on the power of conservatism and American ideals. Throughout his career, Moynihan has successfully built brands, moved audiences to action, and orchestrated communication strategies that produced results and have won national acclaim.
Matt Moynihan started his career at Tennessee’s largest public relations firm, McNeely Pigott & Fox, then joined Big-Four consulting firm, Deloitte, where he formed his understanding of solid branding principles and honed his ability to craft messaging. He went on to lead or contribute to the marketing communication efforts of several large companies in Middle Tennessee, including Gresham Smith and Partners, Cogent Healthcare, MedSolutions and, most recently, Asurion.
Looking to put his personal passion for conservative politics into action, Moynihan co-founded one of Tennessee’s largest and most effective tea party organizations, Sumner United for Responsible Government, in March of 2009. He has served as emcee and speaker at many area tea party events and has attended national rallies in Washington, DC in both 2009 and 2010. His grasp of the conservative message led him to consult on several local, state and federal political campaigns in communications, branding and message development.
Moynihan earned his bachelor’s degree in communication and psychology from Vanderbilt University. He is married to wife, Geri, and they have two young sons. They live in the Nashville suburb of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
